Welcome
Set up a client
These settings are filled into the RustDesk app for you, so nothing has to be typed. Check them, then use the QR code on a phone or the download on a Windows PC. The API server is what enables account login, the device list and the audit log.
Phone
In RustDesk on the phone, open Settings and tap the QR-scanner icon, scan this code, then confirm.
Windows PC
Download the official RustDesk app, already named so that it configures itself when it runs.
Or save your own copy of the installer under this exact file name:
Config string
For the desktop app: copy this, then in Settings → Network → ID/Relay server use Import server config.
Devices

No devices to show.
Address Book
| ID | Alias | Hostname | Platform | User | Tags |
|---|
No devices in this address book yet. Devices the user saves in the RustDesk client appear here too.
Logs

|---|
No events yet.
Groups
Groups decide what each account sees in the RustDesk client’s Group tab: an account sees itself, plus the user groups and device groups its own group has been granted. Device groups can also carry a strategy. Groups do not block anyone from connecting — the free RustDesk server can’t enforce that.
User groups
| Name | Members | Can see user groups | Can see device groups |
|---|
No user groups yet. Assign users to a group on the Users page.
Device groups
| Name | Devices | Strategy |
|---|
No device groups yet. Assign devices to a group on the Devices page.
Strategies
A strategy pushes settings to RustDesk clients, usually within about 15 seconds. Settings left as “Not managed” are never touched. If a strategy stops managing a setting, clients go back to that setting’s default.
